transport logistics technician
Job summary:
We are looking for a proactive, dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Technician - Transportation to join our team and ensure the smooth coordination of transportation operations. This key role balances organizational expertise with collaborative problem-solving to optimize logistics processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
Main responsibilities:
Manage daily transportation logistics tasks, including planning, tracking and documentation.
Organize shipments, monitor delivery times and resolve potential delays.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (suppliers, carriers) to coordinate efficient transportation.
Maintain and update logistics databases, tracking systems and documentation.
Prepare and review transport-related documents (invoices, delivery notes, customs forms).
Act as primary contact for transportation inquiries, handling them professionally and efficiently.
Analyze and propose solutions to improve transport processes and reduce costs.
Support management with specific transportation-related projects and initiatives.
Profile required:
Education: Degree in logistics, administration or related field.
Experience: 2 to 3 years in a similar role (an asset).
Proficiency in office automation tools (MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and logistics software.
Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken French (English is an asset).
Attention to detail, discretion and a strong sense of confidentiality.
Problem-solving spirit with ability to adapt to fast-changing environments.
Compensation and benefits :
Salary: $30 / hour (depending on experience).
Overtime on request.
